CMAT (Common Management Admission Test):
The examination is known as the common management admission test and it is a national level entrance examination which is approved and conducted by the all India council for technical education.
It is an online test which is conducted on computer and contains sections like reasoning, language, quantitative aptitude and general awareness.
The nationality of the citizens must be Indian.
The graduates from every discipline can apply for the exam.
The students in the final year of their graduation can also apply for the examination.
The fee for the General and OBC candidates is 1400 INR + Bank charges. The fee for the female/SC/ST/PWD categorized candidates along with the bank charges is 700 INR. The candidates can pay the fee online as well as offline.
The offline mode is via bank challan through SBI Bank and the online mode can be either by credit card, debit card or the net banking facility.
GMAT (Graduate Management Aptitude Test – Abroad):
It is known as the Graduate Management Admission Test. The duration of the examination is three and a half hours. An aspirant cannot appear for this exam more than 8 times in a lifetime or you can say not more than five times in a twelve month period or an aspirant can appear for the exam once every sixteen calendar days.
GMAT Eligibility Criteria:
There is only a minimum age to apply and that is 18 years. The candidate should be a graduate from any recognized university in any discipline.
The fee for the NRI candidates is 5000 INR. The fee for the Indian candidates is 2500 INR those who are interested in the GMP Programmes. The online payment can also be made using the debit or credit card or the net banking facility as per the needs and preferences of the candidates.
CAT (Common Admission Test):
The common admission test is the national level test which is conducted by the IIM for the management aspirants. It is the most popular test given by the students from all over the country. A large number of students appear for this test.
CAT Eligibility criteria:
It is essential for the aspirants to possess a Bachelor’s degree with at least 50% marks or any other equivalent CGPA. It is 45% for the SC/PWD/ST candidates. The colleges affiliated with the main conducting body accept the CAT score for giving admissions to the deserving candidates.
The percentage secured in the Bachelor’s degree is calculated on the basis of the processes which are followed in various universities and institutions. The candidates who are in their third year of graduation can also apply for the examination.
XAT (Xavier Aptitude Test):
It is one of the top level management entrance examinations which is taken online on the computer. The main conducting authority for this examination is the Xavier Labor Relations Institute (XLRI) Jamshedpur.
The pattern of the examination:
English Language & Logical Reasoning
GK & Essay(for the ones who have been shortlisted for the XLRI courses)
The duration of the examination is 170 minutes.
XAT Eligibility Criteria:
The aspirants need to complete their bachelor’s degree or any other equivalent degree or course recognized from a prestigious university in any discipline to appear for the examination. The Final year students can also apply for the same. The NRI and the foreign candidates can apply via the GMAT scores.
The fee for the examination is 1650 INR and 300 INR per XLRI course. The students can pay the fee via an online gateway, demand draft and cash payment.
MAT (Management Aptitude Test):
The examination is conducted by some of the universities to find out the best and capable student for their university. It is known as the Management aptitude test. It is usually conducted four times in a year. The official portal contains all the information about the same. MAT Exam 2018 will be held on 4th February 2018.
The pattern of the examination:
There are five sections of 200 marks. The duration is two and a half hours. There are no sectional cutoffs. The sections are English, intelligence and critical reasoning, mathematics skills, Indian and global environment and data analysis. There are 40 questions in each section.
MAT Eligibility Criteria:
There is no age bar for this exam. Anyone can apply for the same. The fresh graduates and the students who are still in the third year of graduation can also apply for the examination.
