How can I set Chrome as my default browser in MacBook?

Why do we need to set the default browser?

Most of the time it’s just not the personal preference.

For example, Google Chrome is the most popular search engine and when you get the Mac ‘Safari’ is the default browser.

So sometime this can be the case where you need to set the default browser.

Also most of the time, there are so many useful extensions available only for Google Chrome.

So that will again make you think of setting up Google Chrome as the default browser.

Now as we know the reason let’s see how can we setup the default browser in Mac/MacBook.

Step 1: Click on the Apple menu on the left top corner and select ‘System Preferences’

Step 2: Select the ‘General’ option

Step 3: Approximately halfway down you find a ‘Drop Down Menu’ next to the ‘Default Web Browser’ option.

Step 4: Select the preferred browser option.
