Free Book Giveaways – An initiative by Next Is Best

Free Book Giveaways – A generous initiative by Next Is Best

I have small giveaways for people coming to NIB (nextisbest)

I always wanted to start a book club where we could share the books for free.

Let me share a small story behind the free book club. Back in 2000 it was pretty challenging to get a book for free.

I used to rent books from a convenient bookstore and had to be sure that I would finish them within 24 hrs otherwise they would charge for the second day. At that time books were not cheap, I was spending 50 Paise for a book. But at the same time, it explained the importance of reading books

Atleast I was not knowing if there was any way to get free books to read. It took little time to start the free book club here but now I am happy to share.

Recent picture of some book lovers who wanted book πŸ™‚

Here are some questions and if you agree read further:

1) Have you ever seen a child who wants to read but doesn’t have money to buy books?

2) Have you ever seen a boy/girl who wants to buy a competitive exam book but can’t afford? I am sure those books can cost a lot.

3) Do you know someone who mentions ‘Reading books’ as a hobby in the resume but doesn’t have Goodreads?

I know them and that’s why I am taking this initiative. I have been through this since my childhood. I waited for someone to come and give books for free.

Even with my little knowledge of the internet, I tried finding book giveaway sites, but all invain.

If you know any website generously giving away books please leave URL in the comment section. I would love to connect with them and mention on this blog.

We have a dedicated website for book lovers.

Check if this can be any help for you.

I tried and found the best options mentioned below to get free books:

Buy second-hand books (Big no, money is a constraint for many book lovers)
Win a contest to get a book (Fair deal)
Fulfill some terms and conditions (Fair deal)

But it wasn’t totally free. All was coming with a price tag.

Time changed, I have decided to buy a book and giving away for free. Because I sincerely believe in sharing knowledge and it’s human right to study.

Books helped me to understand the life and people. I want to help those who want to read but lives in far villages or can not afford the books.

Nowadays internet is so cheap and anyone can easily get ebooks for free but still, I am fond of reading hard copies. I love the smell of paper.

You can follow the below link for more information

Importance of reading books

I encourage people to read books and help others.

Step 1: I have a nice collection of books and want to giveaway

Step 2: Let me know if you are interested in any particular book and I won’t hesitate to buy. Obviously, if I can afford πŸ™‚

Step 3: Since I have one copy of each book this is first come first serve (FIFO), so leave a comment with the book title

Step 4: If you are in Delhi/NCR I can personally hand over the book or else I can send it through the post.

Few more reasons I started this book club:

1) I always wanted to help those small book shops who are selling old books.

Since technology took over books people don’t visit the rusty shops filled with the smell of paper.

2) Environment: 30 Million trees cut down every year to the production of the book sold in the US alone.

I may think of more reasons to do this. But if my initiative can be any help for others I will just become happy.
